Network & Multi-Level Marketing Programs

The Tools of the Trade

It's easy to get confused when you start looking for marketing tips on the net... Everyone and their dog seems to have some sort of multi-level marketing program, and the hype they offer is enough to make your head spin.

"Secret reports," can be yours, for only fifty bucks a month... "yadda yadda yadda..."

What sort of "secret" do you suppose it can be, if it's sold all over the net by every Tom, Dick and Harry with a website?

I don't have any secrets to sell you, folks... but I do want to give you the benefit of my experience - the good, the bad, and the ugly - and show you how to generate long-term income in the process.

Tip #1: If you're a self-starter, and know how to work your way through a huge pile of valuable information, Join the Internet Marketing Warriors

If you're not a Self-Starter, and you have no experience marketing, you should invest in The Newbie Guide, which provides a structured and incredibly thorough training program of the highest quality. It is, without question, the best marketing tutorial on the Internet. I recommend both of these programs without reservation.

  • The Internet Marketing Warriors site is the ultimate source for marketing tools and information, period. If you want to generate cash on the net, this is absolutely the best place to begin, unless you're a completely clueless newbie. (If you are a completely clueless newbie, go here instead -- avail yourself of the priceless help that wasn't available when I took the first tentative steps down this road.)

Allen Says, the genius behind Warriors, has assembled an essential collection of tools for those who are serious about making a living on the Internet. When you become a member, you get an unbelievable collection of training material and software, including Allen's remarkable ebook, Internet Cash Machines, that shows you exactly what to do to create automated money machines that will produce income for years!

When I discovered Warriors in July of 2000, I didn't have any idea where to begin. When it came to making a living on the net.

    I was clueless.

By January of the following year, as the direct result of the lessons learned via Warriors, I had 4 e-commerce sites, and every single one of them was making money for me, 24 hours a day.

One of them, Toccatas.com, was designed using tools provided by Allen Says , and showed a profit within 7 days!

My Warriors account, which cost me $49, showed a profit within 2 months, even though I'd done next to nothing to promote it. When I tell you, right up front, that joining Warriors was the smartest move I'd ever made when it comes to making money on the net, I mean it!

Joined July, 2000, $49. Total earnings through March, 2001: $260.

Start building your Internet Cash Machine now!

Tip #2: Become a ROIbot Pro

  • If you aren't using ROIbot, you're losing money. It's that simple, folks. It's no coincidence that Mark Joyner, the mind behind ROIbot, is also an Internet Marketing Warrior.

Unlike a lot of MLM "marketing" programs that promise marketing support, ROIbot delivers!

ROIbot gives you the power you need to market your business and track marketing efficiency at the same time.

You get an inexpensive money-making machine which helps you promote and manage your business just like the Pros do!

These two programs are all you need - they pack a one-two punch you won't find anywhere else.

ROIbot offers what many consider to be the best affiliate program going, which is why I've listed it under Affiliates, too!

Cost: $17/Month. (I am presently earning $16 a month from referrals. It doesn't take much effort to sell ROIbot, simply because the service provided is outstanding.)

Here's how easy it is to track your advertising with ROIbot:

  1. Sign up for the free trial account by completing this form.
  2. Login, locate Advertising Tracker
  3. Click on Manage Your Campaigns
  4. Enter your target URL and campaign name. Click on save.
  5. ROIbot will give you a new URL to use in place of your target URL.
  6. Use this new URL to promote, and let ROIbot track the results.

As ROIbot CEO Mark Joyner recently noted, "I'm embarrassed by how simple this is."

Tip #3: Invest in Promote-Ivator
  • Promote-Ivator is a very slick, very simple program, and it will bring awesome marketing power to your desktop... It should come as no surprise that this program came from the fertile minds at ROIbot...
    • Daily motivation keeps your business on track
    • Rub elbows with some of the icons of internet marketing through the Promote-Ivator Firing Line
    • Build residual income as a Promote-Ivator Affiliate
Promote-Ivator is dirt-cheap at six bucks a year! (Did I mention it's 100% tax deductible, too?)

I spend a few minutes a day using Promote-Ivator. I learn a bit each day from other Internet marketing folks, and I take the time to help other members out who may be having problems I've already learned to deal with.

As a direct result of my membership, I've sold two copies of WebPosition Gold and earned nearly $90 - Fifteen times more than Promot-Ivator cost me in the first place!

If my personal experience hasn't convinced you, I suspect nothing will :-)

Once you've learned to apply the power of Warriors and ROIbot to your daily marketing efforts, you may want to consider other options; take a look at the programs that have caught my interest:

  • CORE offers an outstanding opportunity, with no selling required. The compensation system is complex, but it boils down to this: The company pays out 80% of it's profits to the membership.

CORE is one of the Internet's Top 40 Opportunities, and has prospered, growing to a membership of over 48,000 during its first year.

    Invested January 2001, $9.99/month.
    Paid Downline Members: 2
    Unpaid Downline Members: 3

  • GreenZines is a unique new program built upon the combined experience of a good many experienced and successful network marketers. It features a forced 2x5 matrix, and that means lots of spillover from the top. That makes the pay plan one of the best in the industry.

GreenZines will not only they teach you the business of marketing, they also help train you on how to run your business profitably. I encourage you to give this one a close look. (Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.)

    Invested May 2001, $30/month.
    Paid Members: 2

  • Express On Line is the premier Gold Club opportunity. Entry into the program at the first level is $35. Do not join this, or any other Gold Club program directly. Join the Gold Club first, and wait a few months while it creates a downline for you. I joined Express On Line in November of 2000, and unlike Triple Your Money (see below), growth has been very slow.

Invested November, 2000: $35. Four paid members as of March 26, 2001... this one is finally beginning to move, after months of sluggish performance.

  • Globally United Partners offers a combination of a low-cost MLM ('Global United Group') and Downline Club, but the programs this group supports are all listed with Ghostsurfers, which doesn't charge for membership. In short, join Ghostsurfers, and give this one a pass.

  • Going Platinum is a new player on the network marketing scene. It offers two levels of membership - one free, and one paid. The free program offers an opportunity to migrate to a paid position simply by building referrals, and three paid programs are offered. Going Platinum promises to build your downline for you, once you migrate to a paid position. I think it would be worthwhile to join through a the non-paying option, and then promote the program to earn the paid membership without any cash outlay. Although I support this program, and recommend it, I think it's been over-hyped by its zealots, and that's never productive, as it tends to make skeptics of us all.

    Invested December, 2000: $25
    Paid Downline: 1

  • InetStar: This one is a lemon, and I'm not even going to bother including a link - give InetStar a wide berth, folks - the owner is long on promises and short on delivery, to the point where he won't even respond to email from paying members.

I was foolish enough to invest a few bucks in the InetStar pre-launch, and have regretted it ever since. None of the promises made by the operator of the program - not one - were kept, and he refuses to respond to my queries. Needless to say, my money was wasted, and my trust in the man completely misplaced.

  • The Millenium Money Network is a Gold Club opportunity which provides a promotional website and commissions through 8 levels, and is supported by The Gold Club. (I recommend that you join this program through the Gold Club to minimize risk and maximize gain.)

Invested March 2, 2001, via The Gold Club: $59

  • The Payline offers air miles and cash benefits for recruiting, but the entry price is steep at $200 (one-time fee). Over 44,000 members by the end of January 2001 for this Florida company, with the official launch scheduled for mid-February. Recent articles in the Tampa Tribune say that this outfit is currently under investigation. Don't invest in this program.

  • PowerDownLine presents an interesting opportunity. PowerDownLine was formed to create a very large downline prior to entry into the product, a Web Hosting company. If you're shopping for a host, this one could be worthwhile. If not, give it a pass.

I'll stick with Host4Profit, which offers - and delivers - outstanding value for under $25 a month, although I am keeping this one in mind for the future.

ReferralWare is an interesting hybrid, which offers some outstanding marketing tools to its members - many of them free of charge.

ReferralWare claims that it "does it all the work for you,", and that's not far from the truth.

The system is built around websites designed to funnel traffic directly to your ReferralWare site. These websites act as lead-generators, and they will be effective if properly used.

My favorite is the Ad Tracker. It works exactly like the one ROIbot offers, but Ad Tracker is free. You can see how an tool like that can attract leads.

Here are the others - they're all free offers, designed to do two things: First, offer Internet users a free business tool that's real, and second, collect their name and email address for your contact list. Help yourself - they're all free: TrafficMagic, a self-replicating classified advertising site; the Power Recruitment System, and Intelecomm 800 Magic, which offers a free 800 number voicemail system. All of these systems serve as lead collectors, and the system makes it easy for you to communicate with all of them, so you can share ideas with them, and promote your primary businesses.

ReferralWare's Pro members ($50/month) can customize these sites with their own banners - you'll notice that I have done that on the ones I've listed here.

The system also includes 10 fully pre-configured autoresponders that provide automatic follow-up on every lead generated through the free offers, and 3 additional autoresponders that you can configure in any way you wish.

ReferralWare is a tad pricy at $50 a month, but it does offer an amazingly efficient system for obtaining solid leads and communicating with them. Whether you decide to become a Pro member or not, grab a free membership now and take advantage of the Ad Tracker and lead generators.

  • Six Figure Income is about as popular - and as thoroughly hyped - as an Internet MLM program can get, with tens of thousands of members and associates. SFI offers free entry into its Affiliate Program, but if you aren't prepared to promote the program aggressively, the income potential - even with thousands of members in your "powerline," is precisely zero. No matter how many "members" or "subscribers" you might have in your "powerline," you won't earn a red cent unless you personally recruit them. Once you understand that, you begin to wonder why these folks make so much of their "Powerline," since it's essentially worthless to you.

Those who join SFI under the free affiliate program can expect to be deluged by email reading "JOHN DOE has just joined your Powerline!" Do not be mislead - if you did not recruit JOHN DOE, his inclusion in your "Powerline" is meaningless.

Take the SFI hype with a very large grain of salt, folks, and invest your hard-earned money elsewhere. Unless you are prepaired to devote 100% of your time promoting this one, it's most likely to prove worthless.

  • Triple Your Money -- This is a very popular GlobalOne program, requiring a small one-time investment. It is supported by several strong downline clubs, including The Gold Club.

If you are an aggressive and successful promoter, you should sign up directly - that's the quickest way to move into profit. If, like me, you prefer passive promotion, or you're just plain lazy, join The Gold Club first, and select Triple Your Money as a preferred Opportunity. Gold Club members report that they move into profit in 11 to 12 months. My performance to date certainly supports that contention:

Invested October 25, 2000: $50. 18 paid members as of May 21, 2001. That's impressive growth, and it demonstrates how well the Gold Club model works. (33 Places must be filled before I will receive my first check, so I'm over halfway home.)

  • The Ultimate Marketing Solution is similar to Warriors, in that it offers marketing tools in exchange for small, one-time fee. Take a look at what they have to offer, and compare it with Warriors. The income potential is there, but I think the commissions are too small to justify much effort, even though the results I've seen thus far tell me it was a safe investment:

Invested July 2000: $38. Commissions paid to date: $35. In short, with nearly no active promotion at all, I've shown a respectable return for 6 months, and should be in profit within the next 6 months. With aggressive promotion, this program should produce very nice returns within the first 6 months. Recommended.

You can leverage your comfort zone by joining Downline Clubs. These clubs are established to help network marketers build a downline before investing.
